Tequila Grapes 🍇 These are the perfect boozy treat now that it is warming up! I love making these because making them ahead is a breeze, it is actually encouraged. It is a cute little treat and people always love them when I serve them. In this recipe I use chamoy to coat the grapes, if you aren’t familiar with it, chamoy is a Mexican candy sauce basically. The chamoy is the perfect coating because it is sticky, sweet and a little bit sour.

Why You’ll Love Tequila Grapes

You will love these because they are perfectly boozy but not too much if that makes sense? Very easy to make. They look adorable in these skewers ! I also love that you can control the level of booze! the longer you soak them, the boozier they will be. Don’t soak more than 36 hours though! They will get mushy.

How To Prepare Tequila Grapes

🔪 Poke several holes into the grapes for maximum absorption.

🍇 Add the grapes to a container and then cover in tequila. Then, soak for a minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 24 hours (I did both and prefer the 24 hours because they were so boozy).

💧 Drain the grapes. Then, add to a bowl of chammy and coat.

❄️ Freeze for 1-2 hours.

🌶 Coat in tajin and monk fruit and that is it!

Substitutions and Variations

  1. You can sub the tajin for just monk fruit or sugar if you don’t want it tart/spicy.
  2. Same goes for the chamoy, you can use honey instead.
  3. tequila can be easily subbed for mezcal or vodka!
  4. As far as fruits go, any other grape variety works. You can try my Strawberry & Tequila Grapes or my Bourbon Cinnamon Grapes for a more fall-like non spicy treat!
