Watermelon Mezcal Cocktail ❤️ In gorgeous skewers and frozen! Sooo cute and fun to make. You get a 2 for 1 with this recipe. Two ways to make watermelon mezcalitas and equally delicious.

Why You’ll Love Watermelon Mezcal Cocktail

Apart from being GORGEOUS, these are sooo boozy and delicious. I love how creative you can get with this recipe. It’s very versatile and you can do it both ways (skewers and frozen) with just one recipe. You have the best of both worlds here, you get that natural sweetness of the watermelon and spicy from the Tajin.

How To Prepare Watermelon Mezcal Cocktail

🍉 First, cube the watermelon into 1 inch squares, clean out the rest and chop roughly.

❄️ Secondly, add the roughly chopped watermelon to a freezer bag and throw in freezer for 4 hours.

🍋 Then, mix together the agave, water, lemon juice, orange juice and mezcal.

💖 Soak the watermelon cubes in it in the fridge for 4-5 hours.

🌶 Then, coat the watermelon cubes in chamoy and tajin. Serve on a skewer.

🍸 Lastly, blend the watermelon with ice and the soaking liquid. Rim your glass and enjoy.

  1. You can use any alcohol of your choice, such as vodka, tequila or gin instead of mezcal.
  2. You can use your favorite fruit instead of watermelon, like my Tajin Cutie mezcal Sorbet!
  3. You can use honey instead of agave syrup.
  4. You can do your rim of choice, instead of chamoy and tajin.

Chef Nadia’s Tip

If you are only doing the watermelon skewers, save the mezcal you soak them in to soak more watermelon or make the mezcalita!
