Why You’ll Love Tequila Strawberries

These Tequila Strawberries are boozy, spicy and delicious! They are honestly super easy to make, and they will be the main character at your next party. And one of the best parts? you can reuse the tequila you use to soak them in to make more or you can use it to make a cocktail… because we don’t waste alcohol in this page 🤌🏻

How To Prepare Tequila Strawberries

🍓 First, poke a couple holes into the strawberries for maximum absorption.

🍾 Secondly, add the strawberries to a container and cover in tequila. Then, soak in the fridge for a minimum of 8 hours and a maximum of 24 hours. (I did both and prefer the 24 hours because they were so boozy).

💧 Then, drain the strawberries.

🍯 Mix the chamoy and honey. Then, place in the freezer for 30-45 minutes.

🌶 Then, coat the strawberries in the chamoy honey. Place over parchment paper and place in the freezer for 30 minutes along with the leftover honey chamoy. Do another coating to the strawberries and freeze 15 minutes.

🌟 Lastly, coat in Tajin and monk fruit.

Substitutions and Variations

  1. These are very versatile. You can use any of your favorite fruits, such as grapes instead of strawberries.
  2. You can use any alcohol of your choice, such as mezcal or vodka instead of tequila.
  3. I used tajin to coat them in, but you can use your favorite chili powder instead.
  4. You can also use your sugar of choice instead of monk fruit.

Chef Nadia’s Tip

You can reuse the tequila for more strawberries or make a strawberry marg!
