Baked Feta Phyllo Bites are the perfect appetizer! Who doesn’t love a great appetizer with phyllo dough and feta?! They are great for hosting and so easy to make.

How To Prepare Feta Phyllo Bites

◧ To start this appetizer, find the center of the phyllo dough lengthwise and then cut in half. Roll the other half back up in the plastic it comes in and store for later use.

🧈 Add some melted butter in between a couple of the phyllo sheets. I did about 2-3 tbsp of melted butter.

🌿 Spread the fig jam onto the phyllo, add the pistachio, chives, chipotle powder, salt and pepper.

▬ Add the feta rectangles at the edge of the phyllo sheets along the wider side of the sheets and roll it up really tightly.

🔪 Slice the feta phyllo dough into 12 bite sized rounds with a sharp knife.

🧁 Add ½ tbsp of butter to the bottom of a 12-cup muffin pan. Add the phyllo bites onto the muffin pan and add ½ tbsp butter on top of each one.

🔥 Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes or until golden.

🍯 Drizzle honey while hot. Then, top with more honey!

Substitutions for Feta Phyllo Bites

  1. If you aren’t a fan of fig jam, you can swap it for any jam that you prefer. Apricot is another great alternative!
  2. I topped mine with chives, but you can easily swap for your favorite herbs or leave it without.
  3. Goat cheese or brie are also great alternatives to the feta.

Chef Nadia’s Tip

Drizzle honey on the bites while they are still hot, so they absorb it better.
