Figs and Feta ❤️ You know that I LOVE figs and I love feta, so I decided to combine the two and came up with this. The combination of flavors here is unreal… trust me, you will be obsessed!

Why You’ll Love Figs and Feta

These are so easy to make and SO freaking delicious! You get that sweetness from the fig but the feta really balances it out and it pairs so well, along with the pistachio mixture. They make for the perfect appetizer or bite if you are hosting. Since you can get them ready in under 10 minutes, they are great for a last minute app idea!

How To Prepare Figs and Feta

🔪 First, slice the figs in half.

🍚 Secondly, mix together the pistachios, sugar, cardamom, salt and panko.

🌟 Then, completely coat the figs in the pistachio mixture.

🔥 Preheat a pan for 2 minutes on high. Then, add olive oil to the pan and heat another minute.

❤️ Then, sear the figs pistachio side down for 1 minute or until golden.

🧀 Slice the feta thinly.

🍯 Lastly, add feta in top of the fig, drizzle honey, add some sumac and orange mint.

Substitutions and Variations

  1. You can use brie instead of feta.
  2. You can use peaches, apricots, or pears instead of figs.
  3. You can use your nuts of choice instead of pistachio.

Make sure you coat the figs completely, so you get a bit of that pistachio mixture in every bite!

Ingredients 

  • 4-6 figs, large
  • Feta, I used Valbreso French Feta
  • 1/4 cup crushed pistachios, plus 1 tbsp
  • 1 tbsp panko
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp cane sugar
  • Orange mint leaves, 1 per fig half
  • Sumac , to taste
  • Olive oil, for frying

Instructions
