Why You’ll Love Whipped Brie

It’s BRIE, I feel like that is reason enough, but I will give you more because yeah, it is that good. This recipe is super quick and easy to make. I love it when I’m hosting people and I need a last minute appetizer. The honey and the almonds add that sweet and crunchy element that makes this recipe sooo good. This recipe is very versatile, you can play with the toppings or just leave it as is. It is honestly delicious even without toppings!

Whipped Brie

How To Prepare Whipped Brie

🥄 First, cube the brie and start whipping. Although, It will get clumpy at first and you’ll have to use a spoon to get it off the blades. Keep going until it is smooth, about 5 minutes

🌶 Secondly, combine salsa Macha and honey.

🧈 Then, fry the almonds in the butter until golden.

🍯 Lastly, spread the brie and top with the honey, almonds, lemon zest and salt.

Substitutions and Variations for Whipped Brie

  1. You can use any other nut of your preference instead of almonds.
  2. You can take out the Salsa Macha and just do honey, if you aren’t a fan of spicy.

Chef Nadia’s Tip

SAVE the rinds. It is a pro move, keep them in your fridge or freezer and add to soups, stews and sauces. Blend or remove once the sauce is done.

Chef Nadia’s Tips 🔥

  • It really helps to remove the rind while the brie is cold, and I always remove it over the wrapper if that makes sense so it doesn’t get stuck to your wooden board lol.
  • If you are using your food processor, brie temp doesn’t matter as much because it is powerful enough. If you are using your hand mixer, make sure the brie comes to room temp.
  • Adding a bit of heavy cream makes the brie more spreadable and softer.

Common Questions

What can I use instead of almonds?

You can use any other nut of your preference, such as walnuts. You can also top the brie with pretty much anything your heart desires.

What salsa macha do you use?

I make my own, but you can use any chili crisp of your choice. I really like Mila Chili Crunch.
