Why You’ll Love Tomato Brown Butter Bread

It’s super easy to make, it’s cheesy and delicious! You can serve it as an appetizer, or as a side with a meal. The brown butter adds that nutty, richer flavor and it makes it even more epic! This is perfect for a last minute appetizer, because you can get it ready within 20 minutes.

How To Prepare Tomato Brown Butter Bread

🧈 First, brown the butter on medium high until nice and golden, about 3-4 minutes.

🍅 Secondly, add in tomato paste and let it cook in the heat of the butter for 1-2 minutes.

🧄 Then, add the garlic, Tamari, salt, pepper and oregano.

🧊 Whip over ice until it looks creamy and fluffy.

🍞 Spread butter on the bread, add gruyere and Parmigiano. Then, bake at 375F for 12-15 minutes.

🌿 Lastly, top with fresh oregano and crushed red peppers.

Substitutions and Variations

  1. You can use any bread of your choice instead of ciabatta.
  2. You can use Parmesan or Comte or pretty much any cheese of your choice.
  3. I topped mine with oregano, but herbs are always super easy to swap out for your favorite ones.
  4. You know I love to add a spicy touch in almost everything, so I also topped it crushed red peppers, but you can leave those out if you prefer!

Chef Nadia’s Tip

Don’t skip whipping it over ice! Trust me, it will get more creamy and fluffy.
