I love making bread dipping oils because they are SUPER customizable, but the best part? They are super low effort and always impress guests when I am hosting. It can be batched or made ahead so I always have some to enjoy with my fresh sourdough as well.
How To Prepare Tajin Bread Dipping Oil
🌿 First, mix the tajin, cotija, cilantro, chives and olive oil together.
🍞 Lastly, let it sit at least 15 minutes before eating and that is it!
Substitutions and Variations
- If you can’t find Tajin, you can substitute it for sumac, lemon pepper or Trader Joe’s chile lime seasoning.
- You can substitute the cotija for queso fresco or ricotta salata.
- Herbs are always very easy to swap for your favorites or which ever ones you have on hand.
- You can even add a bit more spice if you want it spicier such as chopped serranos or crushed dried chiles.
