Why You’ll Love Prosciutto Toast
This toast is EPIC! It is sooo flavorful and very quick & easy to make. The tomato butter truly elevates the experience of this toast. Don’t even get me started on the calabrian chile honey… it truly adds the best flavor! The crispy prosciutto adds texture and it is epic. You are going to love it. This is perfect as an appetizer and honestly.. for breakfast too 🙈
How To Prepare Prosciutto Toast
🧀 First, add the shredded mozzarella to a bowl with the heavy cream and let sit at room temperature for 1 hour.
🥓 Secondly, add the prosciutto to a baking sheet with parchment paper. Then, bake at 375F for 10 minutes, or until crispy.
🍅 Mix together the butter, tomato paste and oregano.
🧈 Spread the tomato butter on the bread and grated Parmigiano Reggiano. Then, bake at 375F for 10-12 minutes.
🍯 Then, mix the honey and calabrian chiles.
🌿 Lastly, top the bread with the prosciutto, straciatella, hot honey, flaky salt, black pepper and basil.
Substitutions and Variations
- Herbs are always very easy to swap out for your favorites or which ever ones you have on hand.
- You can use regular honey instead of hot honey.

- 4 slices of prosciutto
- 2.5 tbsp unsalted butter, high quality and room temperature
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- Parmigiano, to taste
- 4 oz fresh mozzarella, shredded by hand
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 4 ciabatta, large slices
- 1 tbsp calabrian chiles
- 3 tbsp honey
- Salt and pepper , to taste
- Fresh basil , to taste
Instructions
