Bone Marrow Butter Candle… Such a fun recipe!


  • 5-6 bone marrow short bones
  • 6 oz butter, unsalted and room temp
  • 2 tbsp chives
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1.5 tsp tamari
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic cloves
  • Ciabatta


  • Roast the bone marrow at 425F for 15-20 min
  • Remove the marrow from the bones and transfer to a bowl alongside the rendered fat
  • Add the butter to a food processor with the marrow, chives, tamari, salt, pepper and honey. Process until smooth
  • Poke a hole on your paper cup and pass the wick through
  • Add in the butter to the cup and place in the freezer for 15-20 minutes at least
  • Serve with toasted bread, garlic and butter
