The marinade in this recipe makes this black cod so rich and sweet, which is absolutely delicious! This recipe is extremely flavorful and flaky, you are gonna love it… trust me🔥 Yes, I know the marinating takes some time, but it is 100% worth it.

Substitutions

You can substitute the black cod for salmon or chilean seabass.

Miso Black Cod ❤️ (Nobu Style) for Ep.1 Valentine Day Series! Where I share recipes I’d absolutely cook if I was home for Valetines day.

Ingredients 

  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 1/4 cup sake
  • 1/3 cup miso paste
  • 1/3 cup cane sugar
  • 2 lb black cod, deboned, cut into filets

Directions 

  • Boil the mirin and sake for 3 minutes
  • Add in sugar and miso. Cook a couple min without boiling. Let it cool
  • Pour it all over your fish, cover it VERY tightly and marinate for 24-48 hours in fridge
  • Broil it (I did 7 min) but every oven is different so keep an eye out
