It’s Thirsty Thursdays and I’m bringing you a delicious Key Lime Margarita Recipe. I’m well aware this is not an authentic margarita, it is more so a boozy Limonada Suiça or Brazilian Lemonade but it is itching my margarita itch.

How To Prepare Key Lime Margarita

🍋‍🟩 Wash you limes very well. Quarter them and then add them to a blender along with the water and then blend for 20-40 seconds. You want them broken down but not fully blended (over blending makes them bitter).

🧊 Strain well and then return to the blender with the condensed milk, tequila and lots of ice. Blend again.

🍹 Garnish with a lime wheel and that is it!

Substitutions for Key Lime Margarita

  1. You can use lemons instead of limes.
  2. You can use any alcohol of your choice instead of tequila.
  3. This is delicious as a mocktail as well, just leave out the alcohol!

Wash the limes well, quarter or halve them before blending. Don’t over blend because It’ll get bitter. Also, taste after blending with the ice, if you need it sweeter, add more condensed milk at this point.

Common Questions

Just skip the tequila! It’s delicious without it as well. It will taste like a Brazilian lemonade.
