These Fall Off the Bone Baby Back Ribs with my delicious homemade BBQ sauce are what I love to make in the oven for my game day 🏈 spread! They are honestly great for company anytime or just a lazy weekend dinner where you’re hanging out at home. What’s great about them they are so QUICK and EASY to put together, then you get to sit back and relax while these bake, caramelize and get so tender and delicious! This recipe is perfectly paired with my Spicy Jalapeño Margaritas!

How To Prepare

BBQ Sauce

🍅 Add crushed tomato, ketchup, tomato paste, tequila, syrup, maggi, vinage, sugar, salt, paprika, chipotle and garlic to a saucepan. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes until it’s thickened and reduced by ⅓.

Baby Back Ribs

🍖 Pat dry the rack and the remove membrane.

🌶️ Mix the spices and sprinkle on both sides. Let it sit for 1 hour.

🔥 Bake at 300°F for 2½ hours covered in foil. Still wrapped in the foil, let it sit 30 minutes out of the oven.

🖌️ Open the foil and brush the ribs with the homemade BBQ sauce (or your favorite store bought). Leave open and bake at 350°F for 45-60 minutes until caramelized.

🫶And that is it, subscribe for more!

Note: If you are making more than 1 rack that you space the meat out well. You may have to adjust the cooking time a little, but it really shouldn’t change too much with enough space. If you pack the meat in too tightly it can add a lot more time to get that fall off the bone result.

Substitutions and Variations

Substitutions
  • There’s nothing like a homemade BBQ sauce. But if you have a favorite BBQ sauce that you would rather use, you can always use that instead.
  • This recipe will work with any rib rack that you want to use. You may need to adjust the cooking times depending on the size, but you’ll end up with tasty results!
Variations
  • Extra Crispy Variation: If you want and extra crispy bite, you can put your ribs under broiler for a few minutes after the sauce is done caramelizing. Make sure to watch it closely so it doesn’t burn.
  • Spicy Variation: Add some cayenne pepper to the dry rub for some KICK.

    🔥Chef Nadia’s Tip🔥

    • If you are making more than 1 rack of baby back ribs, make sure you space the meat out well. You may have to adjust the cooking time a little, but it really shouldn’t change too much if they have enough space between them. If you pack the meat in too tightly it can add a lot more time to get that fall off the bone result.
    • If you don’t want to remove the membrane, you can always ask your butcher to do it.
