These Brie Puff Pastry Bites with fig jam are not only GORGEOUS but they are as delicious as they look! They are truly perfect for hosting season 🎄

How To Prepare Brie Puff Pastry Bites

🔪 Roll out the puff pastry sheet until fairly thin, cut it into 12 squares. Pierce each square with a fork so they don’t puff up while baking.

🌟 Place each square inside of a muffin/cupcake tin. There is no need to spray the muffin tin because the puff pastry has enough butter in it that it isn’t necessary. Bake at 400°F for 13-15 minutes or until lightly golden.

🫐 Add the juniper berries and pink peppercorns to a mortar and pestle and grind them. If you do not have a mortar and pestle, you can use a cutting board and rolling pin to grind them instead.

🍯 Add the fig preserves to a pan with the honey, orange zest, cinnamon juniper berries & pink peppercorns to a pan. Cook for 2 minutes so it thickens a bit.

🧀 Slice the brie into 12 small squares.

🔥 Add some fig preserves to each of the puff pastry cups followed a slice of brie and then bake for another 3-5 minutes.

🌿 Top with prosciutto and chives.

Substitutions and Variations

  1. You can top with any of your favorite herbs or which ever ones you have on hand instead of chives.
  2. You can also leave the prosciutto out and they are still delicious.
  3. You can use any cold meat of your choice instead of prosciutto.
  4. If you are in a pinch, you can use any jam of your choice instead of making your own.

🔥 Chef Nadia’s Tip 🔥

Make sure you pierce the puff pastry squares with a fork so they don’t puff up while baking.

  1. I can’t find the brie bites near me and they are expensive online for a small amount. Are there alternatives to use

    1. Hey Lanette, You’re in luck because this actually got mixed up with my other upside down brie bite recipe! This dish is actually just a regular brie that you cut into pieces. I’ve fixed it on the website now. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
