Croque Madame Inspired Eggs… Obviously not traditional BUT delish. Croque madame is one of my favorite sandwiches. Traditionally, croque madame is a sandwich with a fried egg on top. But I decided to change it up a bit, and experiment and it did not disappoint. These were absolutely delicious. Even my sister who isn’t a fan of eggs, absolutely devoured these. I like to top mine with salsa macha, but that is completely optional. If you loved this recipe, check out some of my other egg recipes, such as Eggs Alla Vodka, Heavy Cream & Za’atar Chili Crisp Eggs.
Why You’ll Love Croque Madame Inspired Eggs
These eggs are fantastic, but don’t take my word for it, you HAVE to try them! The bread, and the ham elevate the eggs so much and they taste delicious! Frying eggs in heavy cream has been a game changer in my kitchen and a must.
Substitutions
You can substitute the ham for turkey. I garnished mine with chives, but you can garnish it with your favorite herbs. Also, for the cheese you can use your favorite one. I used gruyere, because it’s one of my favorite cheeses, but also is the cheese used for a Croque Madame.
