It’s super easy to make, and if you are in a rush, this is perfect. My mom who has always been against fruit being in salads, tried this one and I can confidently say I changed her mind 😉. I don’t know about you, but I crave salads all the time during the warmer months and this salad is super refreshing. The burrata gives it that creamy touch, and the blend of flavors is epic. The combination of the watermelon, tomatoes and melon create such a perfect balance. You get that natural sweetness of the melon and watermelon. Trust me… You are going to make this salad all summer long!
How To Prepare Burrata Melon Salad
🧂 First, mix together the shallots, vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. Then, let sit for as long as possible.
🧀 Secondly, cut up the burrata to release the stracciatella, add a drizzle of olive oil and pepper.
🍉 Lastly, arrange the fruit over the burrata, drizzle vinaigrette. Then, add chives and basil.
Substitutions and Variations
- Herbs can be easily swapped for your favorites or which ever ones you have on hand instead of chives and basil.
- I used honeydew melon, but you can use your favorite kind of melon instead.

Burrata Melon Salad
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup watermelon cubes
- 1/2 cup honeydew melon rounds
- 1 large burrata ball, or 2 baby burratas
- 1/2 cup quartered tomatoes, sungold & red
- 1 small shallot, finely chopped
- 1.5 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper , to taste
- Chives, to taste
- Basil, to taste
Directions
- First, mix together the shallots, vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. Let sit for as long as possible.
