Why You’ll Love Tomato Tagliatelle
This pasta is so simple yet SO delicious! The brown butter adds a nice nutty flavor and it is to die for. It’s very easy to make and perfect for a family dinner.
How To Prepare Tomato Tagliatelle
🔥 First, preheat a pan for 1 minute, add in the butter and brown until nutty and golden. Set aside.
🧅 Secondly, in that same pan, add plenty of olive oil. Enough to coat the bottom of the pan. Then, add the basil leaves, onion and garlic. Cook at medium low heat for 5 minutes or until softened.
🍅 Add in tomato paste and cook together 3-4 minutes at medium heat.
🧀 Then, add in tomatoes and let them blister on medium heat for 30 minutes, mashing them with a spoon often. Add in balsamic and soy sauce halfway through. Then, add in Parmigiano and fresh basil. Mix well.
🧈 Whip the brown butter over ice until fluffy and set aside.
💦 Cook your tagliatelle in boiling salted water until almost al dente.
🌟 Then, add the pasta to the sauce with plenty of pasta water. Let it cook together for 2 min.
💥 Turn heat off and add butter and emulsify well.
❤️ Lastly, serve with more parmesan.
Substitutions and Variations for Tomato Tagliatelle
- You can use any pasta of your choice instead of tagliatelle.
- You can use any cheese of your choice instead of Parmigiano.
- Herbs are always very easy to swap for your favorites or which ever ones you have on hand.
