Lasagna Roll Ups ❤️ It is officially back to school and my days are crazy with work and my family. Lasagna is a favorite at my house, but it takes so long 😅 especially the sauce! I found a way to get it done in under 40 minutes using the NEW family size Marinara by Mezzetta and it is absolutely delicious. These lasagna roll ups are my kids favorite, they can eat it for days and not get tired of it.

Why You’ll Love Lasagna Roll Ups

Lasagna is such a cozy meal and apart from being super easy to make, they are delicious and like I mentioned you can get them done in under 40 minutes! The ricotta brings that rich creaminess to the dish and it’s epic. It’s cheesy, tomatoey, and absolutely delicious.

How To Prepare Lasagna Roll Ups

🥩 First, in a preheated pan sauté the onion and garlic for 2 minutes. Then, add in the beef and brown with salt, pepper, basil, oregano for 5 minutes on high.

🧂 Secondly, add in 2 cups marinara, balsamic and simmer for 5 minutes. Mix the ricotta, Parmigiano, nutmeg, salt and pepper.

🍝 Boil the lasagna noodles until al dente. Then, spread ricotta over the noodles, add some of the meat and shredded mozzarella.

🌟 Roll them up. Then, spread some marinara to the bottom of a baking dish.

🧀 Lastly, add in the lasagna roll ups. Cover them with the rest of the marinara, top with mozzarella and a bit more Parmigiano. Then, bake at 400F for 20 minutes.

Substitutions and Variations

  1. You can use any cheese of your choice instead of parmesan and mozzarella.
  2. You can use spinach to make a vegetarian version instead of ground beef.
  3. Herbs are always quite easy to swap for your favorites.

Chef Nadia’s Tip

Make sure you roll them up while the pasta is still warm (not scalding hot) so it’s easier.
