I naturally used Empress because at this point I’ve made it clear that it is my favorite! For this recipe I used their new Elderflower Rose and it was 🔥.

Yuzu Prickly Pear Gin-Rita with Sumac Sugar

Yuzu Prickly Pear Gin-Rita with sumac sugar ♥️feat @Empress1908gin. I had never made a margarita using gin and that’s how I’ll be having them from now on!I naturally used Empress because at this point I’ve made it clear that it is my favorite! For this recipe I used their new Elderflower Rose and it was 🔥.

Ingredients 

  • 3/4 oz prickly pear syrup
  • 3/4 oz yuzu
  • 1/2 blood orange
  • 3/4 oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1 1/2 oz @empress1908gin elderflower rose gin
  • Tiny squeeze lemon
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sumac
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions 

  • Combine the salt, sugar and sumac in a plate.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice. Shake for a minimum of 60 sec.
  • Brush a little agave syrup or honey on the side of your glass and pass it through the sumac sugar.
  • Serve with a single rock and a slice of blood orange.
