Carajillo Martini 🍸☕️ Truly soooo good and needed for the week I’ve had 🥵 Carajillo is a Spanish drink with espresso and liquor that gets shaken or stirred! So of course, I had to add my twist and make it one of my go to’s. I always thought that carajillos were made with espresso and licor 43, but I recently learned when I was in Sevilla that they make it with espresso and rum/brandy. In Mexico, they make it with espresso and Licor 43, and this carajillo martini takes after the Mexican traditional one.
If you are a martini stan like me, you have to try my Milky Dirty Martini!
Why You’ll Love Carajillo Martini
If you love espresso martinis, then this one is for YOU! This martini is EPIC. The blend of flavors is amazing. Like I said, of course I had to add my flair and added licor 43. The sweetness from Licor 43 along with the espresso and vodka… mmm chef’s kiss. I can’t have espresso martinis any different way now. Once you try it like this, you won’t go back to plain old regular espresso martinis.

How To Prepare Carajillo Martini
🧊 Fill the shaker with ice.
☕️ Add in your vodka, Licor 43 and espresso.
🍸 Shake for a minute and a half. You want icicles. And that is it!
Substitutions and Variations
- There isn’t really substitutions for this drink, but if you can’t find licor 43, I would use Frangelico.
Chef Nadia’s Tip
Shaking for 90 seconds is non-negotiable! You want all the icicles.
