We are at the beginning of Dia De Los Muertos 💃 and I’ve been missing my great-aunt (almost grandma) a lot. She was a true tequila lover and one of my favorite people. It is tradition to prepare food and drink that our loved ones would have loved, so this Spiced Pear Tequila Sour is for her ♥️

Ingredients
Spiced Pear Syrup
2pearscubed
1 1/4cupsugar
1 1/2cupwater
2cinnamon sticks
1star anise
Tequila Sour
4ozReposado Tequila
3ozlemon juice
3.5ozspiced pear syrup
2egg whites
2dashesbitters
Dehydrated pearstopping
Instructions
Spiced Pear Syrup
Add everything for the spiced pear syrup to a saucepan and let it simmer until reduced by half mashing the pear with a wooden spoon. Let it cool. Strain it, pressing as much of the pear as you can through the strainer.
Tequila Sour
Add your tequila, syrup, lemon, bitters and egg white to a shaker and dry shake for 10-15 seconds. Add ice and shake for 45-60 seconds. Divide into 2 glasses and top with the dehydrated pear.
